The Middle Years at Aradhana are well recognized for its academic rigor and well-rounded approach to education. The curriculum nurtures students who are emphatic, curious, driven by inquiry. Active learning and critical thinking are key to knowledge acquisition. Teachers involve students through a student-centered approach to teaching, where students engage in collaborative learning and shared experiences. Students develop an appreciation and awareness of ones’ own culture and that of others

There are four formative and two summative assessments.

Secondary Grades 7 to 10

The Secondary Years at Aradhana are well recognized for its academic rigour and well-rounded approach to education. The curriculum nurtures students who are emphatic, curious, driven by inquiry. Active learning and critical thinking are key to knowledge acquisition. Teachers involve students through a student-centered approach to teaching, where students engage in collaborative learning and shared experiences.Children get frequent opportunities to be innovative, solve problems and investigate and finds things out for themselves.

The curriculum for the Upper Primary Stage covers English Language and Literature, Hindi (Second Language), Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology (under science), History & Civics, Geography (under the subject History, Civics & Geography), Computer Studies

Assessment processes were linked directly to the curriculum expectations and used consistently within the school to improve learning.

Assessments and Grading The value of assessment lies in ensuring that the process is continuous, comprehensive and not a one- time affair, so that it helps teachers plan better and in an ongoing manner for improving children’s learning, performance and contributing to their holistic all-round development. It also implies that the process should focus on collecting information on all aspects of the child’s development and not be only subject or text-book based

The purpose of assessment for learning is to: • identify strengths, weaknesses /learning gaps and problems faced by children; • provide timely, corrective teaching - learning inputs to children to ensure their better learning in the future; • monitor the progress of each child with reference to his/her previous performance so as to develop every child to her/his full potential;• improve/modify teaching learning practices and methods and use of materials by teachers based on each child’s requirement and need;

Class 5 to 9:
  • Two Unit Test- for 40 Marks,
  • Midterm and Annual Examination - 80 Marks

Class 10

  • One Unit Test for 40 Marks
  • Four preparatory for 40 Marks
  • Weekly class Test for 25 Marks
